These license plate lights are installed using screw mounting and have two pins on the back. If installed incorrectly, they may not make proper contact, which can cause an error message, even though the lights are CANBUS compatible.

Make sure the pins on the back make proper contact in the socket. If necessary, you may carefully bend the pins slightly. Also clean the socket thoroughly, as dirt, oxidation, etc. can affect the performance of the lights.
